Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Blush Palette

Urban Decay gwen stefani blush makeup

Urban Decay is super hot right now.  New products just keep coming!  I just recently purchased the Gwen Stefani blush palette and I absolutely love it!

How could I not do a giveaway?  I decided I am going to send one to a lucky follower of my blog.  Believe me, if I could, I would send one to every person on my mailing list.  Unfortunately, I have not won the lottery yet but I’m still trying!

This blush palette is gorgeous!  It’s got all the blush colors you need going into spring and a mix of shimmer, satin, and matte tones.   I’ve been excited about the entire Gwen Stefani collection from Urban Decay.  Palettes are always great since you get a little bit of everything.  This blush palette is Urban Decay’s Afterglow formula which is a sheer and long wearing.  You truly get the eight hours of wear they promise and the shades are highly blendable and look gorgeous on.  My favorite is Lo-Fi and even though it’s a bronzer, it wears beautifully as a blush with a warm glow.  There are six colors in the palette but blending them together offers so many more combinations you really just have to play with it.

The packaging is so pretty and Gwen Stefani worked very close with Urban Decay on every aspect of the collection from the shades to the packaging.  The palettes are sleek and contemporary with an intriguing graphic design.  I am hoping for a nail polish collection but who knows what surprise may be in store.

The Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Blush Palette contains:

Blush in Cherry (light pink satin), Easy (deep rose with gold shimmer), Angel (champagne-nude shimmer), Hush (medium pink with gold shimmer)
Bronzer in Lo-Fi (soft bronze matte)
Highlighter in OC (soft pinky peach)

  1. I’m recommended by my colleagues. Now I read your posting I’m very impressive and want to try it on the nearest day. Thanks your sharing 🙂

  2. I would love to see top ten posts! Like ten of the worst things you’ve ever bought, best things you’ve ever bought, things you’ve learned from blogging, etc.!

    1. I feel like I buy bad things all the time. LOL I’m in constant return mode. I definitely have some worst of the bunch though. Thanks for the comment and the great suggestions!

  3. I love the clean lines of the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Blush Palette. The colours are rich and vibrant. It’s so kind of you to offer this giveaway. Your makeup is always so flawless. I’m interested in mastering contouring especially what works best for every face shape. Any helpful hints on that subject is a big plus! Thanks for the opportunity! ????????????

    1. Thank you so much. =)
A good friend of mind just did an awesome blog post on contouring. Check out livingdisrobed.com and take a look at her post on contouring. I think you will love it!

  4. I would love to see some DIY beauty projects! I always say I’m going to make my kids’ teachers gifts and I just never get around to doing it. It’s a goal of mine this year though. And thanks so much for this giveaway! I want this palette so bad!!! 🙂

    1. Homemade gifts are the best! I do the same thing. I plan and have ideas but then I get too busy. I suppose we could give cards with our ideas since it was the thought that counts, right? LOLOLOL. You are very welcome for the giveaway! Best of luck to you in the drawing! I’m working on ideas for easy DIY stuff too.

    1. I have included several skin care products that are gluten free if you use my search tool and search on “gluten” they will come up. I’ll be sure to always tag that as well so they are easy to find.

  5. I love reading beauty product reviews. Beauty products can be pricey so it’s always nice to hear a review before purchasing!! Also beauty DIY posts are a fantastic idea and sound like fun! (:

  6. I would love to see what is better powder contour or cream contour. Also, DIY projects would have to be drug store dupes vs best Name brands

    1. Oh, I’d have to say powder is easier to work with but it may be a matter of personal taste. I attended a contouring demonstration where a darker shade of foundation was used for the contouring and it did work well but I haven’t tried them side by side.

  7. I’d love to see some diy for beauty products! I love seeing dupes too because my obsession is expensive and I can’t afford all the things I’d love to have. Lol Thanks for this giveaway! This blush palette is on my list!

    1. That seems to be a popular topic. I’ll definitely start working on that! I’d like to find some dupes for popular MAC lipsticks and also I would like to find everyone a dupe for the MAC Dainty blush. On my to do list! =)

  8. I love product reviews (help me to decide whether to purchase for myself or not!) and I also like posts about dupes!

  9. How to apply gel nail varnish properly. That’s a real problem for me. I really love Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Blush Palette. Colours are lovely. Thank you so much for the chance to win.

  10. I’d love to see DIY, also more posts about anti-aging products (not that you need them, of course!) and your opinions on them. I’m very interested in them but fearful of spending a lot of money on something that doesn’t work.

  11. I think more makeup tips would be awesome to feature on the blog. I’m just now starting to become interested in makeup now that I’m in my twenties and love advice / tricks! This blush palette is so gorgeous.

  12. Janine, this is SUCH an awesome giveaway! I have been lusting after this palette since I heard it was coming out-Im a blush junkie, can’t help it,I love a good color and formula.
I was happily walking in the door a few weeks ago from the mall, with every intention of buying it online, as I need some fun mail, when my fiancee stepped up and asked me to “hand it over”- the credit card.Oh my goodness.Soooo…yeah.No UD palette for ME,actually, nothing for me for at least a month.
I’ve been put on punishment, lol…
This seriously a beautiful palette,Iove the shades, the packaging, the fact that Gwen herself picked out and designed every aspect. And the Afterglow formula is so lovely.
Thank you for the chanc!!!This would be really, really awesome. You always pick such great items!
    Fingers crossed!xx

    1. OMG devastating! LOL. That could cause withdrawals! Does he know you can become physically ill? LOL
I’m glad you like the giveaway. It is such a pretty palette and that’s why I wanted to share one. I had a hard time between this palette and the new UD color correctors. I’m glad I picked the palette. I’m not overly thrilled with the correctors. Have an awesome weekend! Thank you so much for stopping in!

  13. I knew that Gwen Stefani had done an eyeshadow palette with UD, but I had no idea she also did a blush palette! It looks beautiful! Thank you for the post and for doing the giveaway! 🙂 DIY beauty sounds great – like right now I am in love with coconut oil and have heard of using shea butter and cane sugar as an exfoliant. 😉 Take care!

  14. i like to read reviews as it helps me decide if i want to buy and try it. i also like tutorials, i can never get it right though lol

  15. i enjoy seeing what new products are out there, as well as reviews – contests are fun, as well as how to videos. Affordable options are always great ie Drugstore finds. Thanks!

  16. What a beautiful palette. Would love to try it. Have never had an UD product!Thank you for the chance! I would like to read about DIY beauty products too!

  17. So love make up and love to see reviews on products that have gotten rid of chemicals like sulfites or pollutants like microbeads.

  18. I love product reviews especially if they include swatches. It’s even better if you can show makeup on an actual face! Lol! I find it really helpful to see what makeup shades look like on someone else even if they don’t have the same colouring as me.

  19. I can’t get enough info on anti aging skin care products, I think people of all ages should be using these products. If I new then what I no now, I would of started using anti aging products when I was younger. Your blog is fab as always!!

    1. Thanks Dana. I agree on the anti-aging products. And there’s so many which makes it very hard to choose the right one! I will be trying a laser treatment soon so I’ll post how that goes.

    1. I think that cutie palette is out! I am pretty sure I saw it at Ulta. I’ll have to take another look. I really love palettes from Too Faced. I heard their matte palette is amazing but since I bought the Tarte palette I haven’t tried the Too Faced one. I’ll keep my eye out for the PB&J palette. I LOVE gem colors for shadows. Is that what interests you about it too?

  20. You have the best contests! Thanks for a shot at this beautiful pallet! Love it! I would love DIY beauty tips, as I love to try new things! ????????????

  21. Such a lovely giveaway, been wanting to try this out too. Looks so beautiful and the packaging is amazing too.

I’d like to see more DIY posts too, I’m not very hands on so I’d like to see more to encourage me to be abit more artsy.

  22. This blush palette is so gorgeous! I can’t get enough of blushes and bronzers – I love trying out new products and shades!

I’m interested in new product reviews, and DIY beauty products would be really cool. I’m always interested in learning new tips or second uses for products!

    1. OH STORAGE! That’s a good idea! My storage is not cute though. I am the one who has to sit on the floor. I have faith that one day I will have a vanity. Do you have any cute storage ideas??

    1. Oh… I actually have a few recipes I’m planning to try. I’ve seen some all natural recipes in a new book. I’m experimenting this weekend. I’ll make sure I come up with a makeup remover soon. I actually need some. Not happy with the one I’m using right now that I bought.

    1. You are so welcome! I may do some of the new color correctors next but I need to try them out first. They just arrived on line at Sephora. So, keep watching. Have a lovely and relaxing weekend!

  23. Not sure if my first comment went through. I love this palette. It is gorgeous. I like how it has blushes/bronzer/highlighter all in one palette. Plus, I’m a big fan of urban decay. Great post!

    1. What’s really nice about this one is the colors are blendable. So, I have been using Lo-Fi which is really pretty but it’s a bronzer and then I blend a little bit of the OC (peach) shade and I get a warm glow from it. So, you get 6 colors but really there’s infinite possibilities!

  24. Hi Janine,
    The colours look beautiful!
Im not much into DIY products. Id actually like to learn more about blush application as im never certain if i have put it in the right place.

    1. Mmmmm, OK! Application varies depending on the shape of the face. I’ll see if I can get some graphics together for that. I always find less is more. Today, I put a little too much on and got scared when I looked in the rear view mirror in the day light. I keep tissues in my car for that very reason. I always feel for my cheekbone and hit the soft area just below the bone back to the hairline. Then a soft highlight dusted right on the cheekbone does the trick. But I will look for some good graphics that I can demonstrate.

  25. Urban Decay rocks, so glad to read your positive review on this palette! Keep the honest comments coming and variety of product lines, love it!! The odd giveaway is icing on the cake for an already awesome Friday…heading to Brad Paisley concert tonight 🙂

    1. I would love to go to a Brad Paisley concert. I really like country music! I hope you have an incredible evening! I have seen a few people review this palette who didn’t like it but it seems the main complaint was the colors were too light for them. I was shocked today when I used a lighter shade as these blushers are super pigmented! I would think they would work for all skin tones. The texture is beautiful and they wear all day. Urban Decay makes great products.

  26. I’d love this palette…and I’d really like to see some diy make up tips. Oh and also, what is an affordable makeup brush line that you would recommend, maybe your thumbs up and thumbs down 🙂

  27. Reviews are one of my favorites because it helps me decide what may work for me without buying the product first. I like to hear about new releases and I like tutorials. I do not personally care for DIY beauty products but I would certainly keep following if others wanted that. I’m pretty easy going and like most posts. Oh and I love giveaways. Thanks so much.

    1. Hmmm! I’d have to say Violet Voss (amazing glitters), La Isha Beauty, Otavea Scrubs, DoDo Lashes, Derma e skin care and Biossance (to name a few) ???? And then there’s Makeup Geek, Repechage, Diptyque,Christopher Robin. I could go on forever ????

  28. Ohhhh wow. This is too awesome Janine.I love this palette-and the Afterglow Blushes…this would be incredible.
Thank you so much for the chance. You are so generous.xx
