MAC Girl Makeup Tutorial with Copper and Pink

MAC Girl Makeup Tutorial

Hello beauties.  I’m back with a look to share inspired by my recent MAC Haul.  If you missed that post, you can catch up right here.  It was quite the extraordinary shopping experience with my husband and son that afternoon.  Something I will think twice about next time!   I challenged myself to create a look using all MAC products and I almost succeeded.  There were a few things that I had to pull in from other lines because I didn’t have the right MAC product but I came close.   This MAC Girl look was done with primarily coppers and pinks and could be worn during the day or evening.  I was wearing this look during the day.

So, let’s jump in and take a look at the products I used for this look!  MAC has always been one of my favorite brands to wear so I love being a MAC Girl.   What else you would like to see?  Tell me!  Do you have a product or a shadow color you’d like to create a look with?  I love to play with colors!  Here’s how to get this look:

Face Prep

  • Mac Prep and Prime Refined Zone:   I normally don’t use this primer because I do prefer my NYX primer to this one but to keep with the MAC products, I used this primer which helps to refine your skin and provide a smooth canvas for the makeup.  It is oil free and does do a good job of keeping your skin matte.

Eye Makeup

  • Primer (all over lid to brow bone):  MAC Paint Pot in Painterly (I use my finger to blend all over my eye lid).
  • Transition color:  MAC Soft Brown above crease applied very lightly with MAC 224 brush
  • All over lid: MAC Extra Dimensions shadow in Amorous Alloy.  Applied with MAC 224 brush
  • Center of lid:  MAC Extra Dimensions shadow in Havana. Dabbed in center with finger.
  • Beneath brow: MAC Vanilla.  This offers very little color payoff with my skin tone but it does allow me blend out the harsher edges of the color on the lid.
  • Outer-V:  MAC Saddle applied with Sigma E34 and blended lightly into the crease.
  • Water line:  MAC liner eye kohl in Costa Riche.  Any brown will suffice but this was has warmer undertones which I like.
  • Bottom lash line: MAC eye kohl in Prunella smudged lightly under the lower lashes
  • Top Liner: Stila All Day Liquid Liner in Black  (Dramatic wing – this is best bet for a precise dramatic cat eye – Holy grail).
  • Inner corner of eyes: Highlighted with MAC Dazzlelight
  • Mascara:  Loreal Voluminous Butterfly 872 applied to top and bottom after curling lashes.
  • Lashes:  Red Cherry #415
  • Brows:  Left natural and lightly brushed in an upward direction

    1. Oh please send me a photo if you do!! I would love to see how it comes out for you. This weekend I’m going to be testing a purple mascara (I know crazy, right) and I’ll be posting some eye looks.

      1. yes I will , on saturday I will try to recreate this look with some products that I have 🙂
woww, haha but its so trending right now ! so they are really okay 😀 , I have tried so far brown mascara but they just make eyes from small to super small . haha

        1. One of things that made this look nice was the black winged eyeliner and I used black mascara and then put on false lashes. You’re in Indonesia! AND most of the lash factories are right there in your country. You should be able to get fantastic lashes for very little. I know that the factories make lashes for all the big brands too.

  1. Love these colours on you! The babydoll pink is just adorable, it goes so well with your youthful look and sun goddess skin. I could never make a look with just one brand products, my products are all over the place. =S You look beautiful, and excellent little cat eye, btw. 😉

    1. That cat eye is Stila – they are the GOD of Cat eyeliners. I do have one to test from 2B Colours which has really impressed me as an affordable line. My hubby picked the pink – isn’t that cute? Thank you so much for the compliments. Kisses! Let me know if you want me to a do a look and I can try and create something you would like for yourself.

    1. I almost always wear nudes and pale corals. I am really reluctant to wear bright colors, reds, etc. My husband loves LOVES the bright colors so I will occasionally wear it for him but my favorites are soft corals and nude pinks for sure. He thinks red looks fantastic and I almost can’t leave the house with it on!

  2. Your makeup look is stunning. I really like the Stila Smudge liner. It glide so well 🙂 Great post Janine.

    1. Thank you! I haven’t tried the Stila smudge liner. I will have to try it because the liners I have are not great. Thanks for that Stila tip!!! =)

    1. Red Cherry 415. I’d wear bigger if I could but I’d probably get in trouble at work. LOL. Isn’t it weird, I could wear huge lashes and dramatic eyes to my office but this pink lipstick had me freaked out. As soon as it wore off, I cozied right back up to my MAC Creme Cup. LOL

  3. Love it! I’ve been debating that Stila eye liner- a MAC post and I talk about the Stila product, go figure haha. Glad to see you’re liking the Peaches! Looks lovely 🙂 xx

  4. I really want to try Lightscapade! I currently use the MSF Soft & Gentle and love that. Do you think Lightscapade would suit my pale skin tone? This look is so gorgeous, especially the colours you’ve used on your eyes I love it! xo

    1. It’s more subtle compared to Soft and Gentle. I’m an NW20 in MAC and I rarely use it because I feel like it doesn’t show up on me. I only used it for this look because I was trying to keep with all MAC products. It will show up but it kind of depends on if you want a real glow distinctive highlight or something very subtle. It is a little glittery in the sunshine. These photos are taken indoors. If you like Soft and Gentle – you would probably really like Mary-Lou Manizer.
