PCA Skin Revitalizing Eye Gel Review

PCA Skin Ideal complex revitalizing eye gel

By now, you know I am a huge proponent of good skin care.  Great skin is what keeps us looking youthful.  Last month I posted on how to get radiant skin and mentioned I have products that are regulars in my daily routine.   Every few weeks, I introduce new products that I want to try out.  Depending on the weather, my level of hydration, what make up I’m wearing, and other crazy variables… I have an entire array of products I introduce to address different issues.  Eyes are the most important area for me and I use a lot of products to keep that delicate area hydrated.  I’ve heard of PCA Skin and am aware the company has a good reputation for quality products.  The PCA Skin  Ideal Complex Revitalizing Eye Gel is the first product I’ve tried in the PCA Skin line.

PCA Skin was founded in 1990 and products were developed by a dermatologist.  The company is well known for their innovation and has a reputation for developing holistic and innovative solutions.  PCA Skin products are not rebranded. They are original formulas developed by them in house with teams of experts in skin care. The PCA Skin line addresses all skin concerns and they have a wide array of products. There is also a customer service team available to answer questions and the team is made up of licensed aestheticians so you can count on getting professional advice and top quality service.

About PCA Skin Ideal Complex Revitalizing Eye Gel

The PCA Skin Ideal Complex Revitalizing Eye Gel is formulated to lift and firm the delicate skin around the eyes and can also be used on the eye lids. This is important to note because many eye products are not indicated for use on the eyelids. The gel is non-irritating and recommended for all skin types.

Key features of the Ideal Complex Revitalizing Eye Gel:

• One product to use that will treat dark circles, puffiness, fine lines, wrinkles and sagging eyelids
• Can be applied directly to the eyelid to firm and lift
• Light and silky texture (not sticky or greasy)
• Most users observe results within one week
Below is a before and after photo that the brand has in their brochures and on their website that shows results using the product after two weeks of use twice daily. There is noticeable improvement in the person’s eyelid which is a difficult area to address.  The gel contains peptides, Niacinamide, Albizia Julibrissin Bark Extract and Fraxinus Excelsior Bark Extract.
PCA Skin Complex Revitalizing Eye Gel Review

Because this gel addresses skin laxity, dark circles, fine lines, and puffiness it is very convenient to use. Multiple products aren’t needed to address different problem areas. This formula targets the most common eye concerns. It is advised by professionals to utilize corrective topical solutions before you notice the results of aging and the environment. Early use of quality products and developing good skin care habits will prolong the inevitable effects of aging. Yes, they are inevitable and I know it’s a terrible thought!

Let me be completely honest with you here. Dramatic and long term results are not going to come from topical products. If you have serious skin laxity or wrinkles, topicals may help to improve the appearance of the area but not resolve issues entirely. If you are notice real effects of aging then more aggressive treatments may be necessary to get desired results. It all depends on you and your expectations. Therefore, I’m setting real expectations and telling you there are no miracles unless you look into invasive procedures. While you will get more dramatic results, more aggressive treatments don’t come without risk. For example, if you in your early 40s and want your eyes to look as if you are 25, it’s going to be more than a cream to get there.

The PCA Skin Ideal Complex Revitalizing Eye Gel is a thorough and effective solution and you should notice some improvement with the use of the product.  It is proven and the brand produces top quality products that can be trusted. I like the eye gel for the hydration it offers and the smoothing effect it has on my skin. I have not personally observed (and this is with any topical product) a dramatic and satisfactory tightening of skin on the eyelids or under the eyes but hydration improves the appearance.  I am very aggressive when it comes to skin care and I combine the daily use of top quality products with regular injectables and laser treatments.  For me, I have found that is what achieves my desired results but everyone is different when it comes to esthetics and we all have a different amount of risk we are willing to introduce as well.

I would definitely recommend this eye gel and would love to hear your thoughts on it. I’m also impressed with the overall offerings in the line and would love to try other products. If you have used anything within the line, I’d would really love to hear about that!

  1. This is the the best product I have ever seen before. I love it and I will try it for my skin. Thanks your posting. Have a good day for you.

  2. I was just researching this and your post came up! 🙂 I like how you gave real talk about the expectation of topical treatments. I have a real fair of sagging lids since I have hooded lids. I’ve been looking for eye lid treatments that would be more preventative. Thanks for this! 🙂

    1. I don’t want to lie to people (and I think a lot of brands mislead) with regards to what topical treatments can achieve. They can’t and won’t resolve anything that isn’t superficial as far as wrinkles go, sagging skin, etc. And it’s not usually permanent. Believe me, I’ve tried EVERYTHING from 400.00+ creams from Japan to drug store products. My lids had a little sag, just enough to irritate me when I put on makeup. They would gobble up my liner. LOL And under my eyes same thing – a bit of loosing skin and it would change with hydration. I finally got sick of it and just yesterday I had an upper blepharoplaty done and fat transfer with deep Erbium laser resurfacing to the lower eye. That was yesterday, I lay here in pain as I type. It was very expensive but now it’s permanently fixed and I think topicals will help maintain the appearance of the fresh skin. The best on the market to really address fine lines and prevent them (to a degree) is going to be Retin-A. Retin-A and a stable Vitamin C are the best combination. Many Vitamin C products are total crap and your skin doesn’t absorb much because the ph level of the product is too high. SkinCeuticals is the best in that area and have rights to use the Duke University patent which allows the product to be produce at less than 3.5 acidic pc which makes it more affective than any others. To give you a comparison, OZ Naturals is a ph level of 8+

There is not much available to put on the eyelids though. For moisture, YES, but loose skin ….. not really. I have used TNS Skin Medica eye cream for year and put it on my lids even though you really aren’t supposed to but it never made a difference with loose skin.

      1. Oh wow, how timely that this topic came up just as you went forward with the surgery! I think one day I will opt for surgery. Will you be posting about your experiences?
And thank you for the information about which topical treatments work. I’ll have to look more into SkinCeutical – I just finished using a lip serum from them that I wasn’t too wow’d by but I am willing to give their other products a try!

        1. I will probably post about it yeah. The pictures are seriously scary. I look like an alien right now. I was really impressed by their C Serum. My skin was noticeably more radiant. I’d reach out to their PR people first and ask if they would be interesting in a collaboration. Their C serum works – no doubt. It is awesome (Stinks but awesome)

  3. I love eye treatments and I have been experimenting lately with products for the scar on my eyelid. I’ve had some positive results with collagen based products and derma rolling. Not significant but it’s the best it’s ever looked. I would definitely try this!

    1. For sure give it a try. Usually scars will fade after some time, is it a new scar or an old scar? Have you read about the silicone scar treatments? I used those with great success.
