Remember when I reviewed the new LUST: gloss from Pat McGrath Labs and I mentioned there were more new products? Here they are! Let’s take a look a some of the pieces from Pat McGrath’s 2018 Skin Fetish collection. You can still grab a few items on the Pat McGrath website but the inventory is running low. Don’t worry though, because it’s rolling out into select Sephora stores and Sephora on line in July 2018. It’s still a limited edition collection so don’t wait too long before deciding what you want from it.
The Skin Fetish collection is all about lighting the skin. The formula is unique in how the light effect is achieved on the skin. Other highlighters are metallic, sparkly, and while they look pretty when applied, there is still a layer of powder or cream on the skin. My favorite thing about the Skin Fetish collection is whether you use the balm or the powder highlighters, these products illuminate without an additional layer of product sitting on top of the skin. They just melt in like a second skin and create a celestial glow.
The entire Pat McGrath Skin Fetish collection includes:
- Skin Fetish Highlighter + Balm Duo (Available in 3 shades) $48 USD
- Skin Fetish Sublime Skin Highlighting Trio $50 USD
- Skin Fetish Lip Balm $38 USD
- Skin Fetish Buffer 003 Brush $25 USD
- Skin Fetish Kit (Complete collection, includes one balm duo) #135 USD
As of the date I published this post, the Skin Fetish Kit is still available and it’s an exclusive product to Pat McGrath’s website. The Skin Fetish Sublime Highlighting Trio is sold out on Pat McGrath’s website but just launched in Sephora.

Let’s take a closer look at the products I have to share with you! You are going to love the swatches!
Skin Fetish: Sublime Skin Highlighting Trio
This highlighting product was such a surprise when I began experimenting with it. At first glance, I thought the shades would appear different on the skin than they actually do. The Sublime Skin Highlighting Trio has three shades and when swatched or worn they look quite different than they do in the palette. They are sheer and beautiful highlighters that add effortless dimension and illumination.
The Sublime Highlighting Trio brightens skin and the products can be combined to create more than three looks. They can also be worn over the Highlighting + Balm Duo. Depending on the intensity and whether you are looking for a soft natural look or a more captivating glow, a lot can be achieved with these products.
Skin Fetish: Highlighter + Balm Duo
In addition to the powder highlighters, the creamy Highlighter + Balm Duo reflects and refracts light and blends effortlessly on the skin. As a mentioned earlier, the products in the Balm Duos can be combined with the powders for different effects. The transparent Balm – formulated with aloe and argan oils plus hyaluronic acid – delivers a fresh dewy finish and softens the skin.
Each Highlighter and Balm Duo comes with a transparent balm. The other shades include:
Nude
Golden
Bronze (Shown Above)
With three balms and the highlighting trio, you could likely replace every highlighter in your collection. I especially love these because of the versatility when combing products and also the intense pigment without a metallic look. I find the metallic highlighters can look greasy and these never have a disco effect. They are so elegant and beautiful!

I’m still a newbie when it comes to Pat McGrath products but I’m already a huge fan of the formulas and quality is exceptional. Packaging is creative and thoughtful. Products never feel cheap and they deliver runway quality looks. I suppose that would be expected since the are used on runways!
Have you tried anything in the Pat McGrath line? I’m really curious about the eyeshadows so I will probably explore eyeshadow next. If you love highlighters, this is definitely not a limited edition collection to sit around and think about. They sell out quickly and these are highlighters any makeup collector would instantly fall in love with!
I haven’t tried this brand yet, but I would love to try. I’ve heard great things about it. The price does hurt though.

I swatched them pretty intense to show the color but they are definitely buildable. I wear them to work in a very conservative office and they are natural and pretty.
Oh I am also playing with these new highlighters at the moment and am so impressed! You just can’t go wrong with PMG in my opinion! xx
