There is nothing worse than the feeling of sunscreen on your hands and face. It’s so gross and disgusting. Then again, remember Sunburn Magda from “There’s Something About Mary”? While she’s an exaggeration (in most cases – there are a few real Magda’s out there), the sun is incredibly damaging to our skin. What looks good at age 25, certainly doesn’t come without a price at age 40. Ms. Magda is a brutal reminder of what fast forward looks like after sun exposure. Those are some deep wrinkles! Jan Marini sunscreen best for face.
It’s hard because no one wants to put sunscreen on their face. It’s gross but not everything is unbearable. I recently purchased a Jan Marini sunscreen that I want to apply to my face every day. Seriously, I like it and I want to use it. REALLY! (And the company has no idea I’m publishing this review!) Honestly, with the arrival of spring and summer around the corner, I couldn’t wait to share this information with you.
The Jan Marini sunscreen collection offers antioxidant protection and is a broad spectrum sunscreen (SPF 33) with UVA and UVB protection. The formula is spectacular. It absorbs quickly, feels soft on the skin, is hydrating and weightless. I never knew a sunscreen could feel this way until I tried this one. And the scent? WOW! It’s beautiful and addicting! It’s a light scent and subtly sweet and tropical. It’s not a coconut tropical scent… it reminds me more of papayas and mangos. It’s just gorgeous! I have never wanted to apply sunscreen as part of my daily routine until I tried this product. I was getting a facial and this was the moment I discovered it. The esthetician applied it to my skin as a last step in the facial. After I wore it for a day, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. The next day, I went back to the cosmetic office and bought a tube for myself.

Additional Details About Jan Marini Sunscreen
The Antioxidant Daily Sun Protectant is designed for all skin types (Normal, Dry, Oily) along with sensitive and acne prone skin. The product is available with no tint (which is what I purchased) and is also available in three sun-kissed tints if you prefer a little color. It is waterproof but should be reapplied 80 minutes after swimming.
The products are typically available in dermatologist, cosmetic surgeon, and luxury spas. There is a location finder available on the Products Page of the company website that show distributors in each area. I totally understand it’s not easy to spend over $50 on a sunscreen. Shelves are full of sunscreens in retail stores for under $15. I don’t know about you but I have far more than $50 of those products jammed in the back of my cabinet that I won’t use and likely expired. Once I tried this product, I found my match. I have no doubt you will fall in love with it as much as I did. Ideally, you could contact the company for samples or stop in at a local distributor and asked for a sample to see if you want to make the investment. I got to wear it for a day after my facial and that’s how I knew I wanted it.
I have not tried the Jan Marini sunscreen Marine Physical Protection (SPF 45). I noticed different active ingredients and some variations in the key ingredients. It was not available where I purchase my products so I was not able to get a sample. I’m interested in how this product wears. It has been mentioned in many major publications.
I give the Jan Marini Sunscreen Antioxidant Daily Face Protectant SPF 33 the highest of recommendations. I love the product and I love wearing it on the skin on my face! It smells amazing!
Brutal FDA Warnings About Sun Exposure
I have noticed over recent years, the FDA has continued to publish updated news about the danger of using indoor tanning beds. In December 2015, a warning came out restricting minors from using sunlamp products. For individuals over the age of 18, before their first tanning session and every six months thereafter, individuals must sign a risk acknowledgement that states that they have been informed of the risks to health that may result from use of sunlamp products.
In January 2016, the FDA implemented another rule requiring the risks associated with the use of indoor tanning beds to be included on all promotional materials.
The FDA wants consumers to know that UV radiation in tanning devices poses serious health risks. It was believed the UV radiation in tanning devices was safer than exposure to the actual sun. However, the FDA has realized there are serious risks with these devices and is desperately sending pubic messages that many people may not be aware of. It’s something to look at on their site if you are using these devices under the impression that they are safe. Recent studies and new research indicates they are not (unfortunately).
So, what are you thoughts on all of this? Are you a Jan Marini fan or would you like to try their products? Do you use tanning beds and were you aware of all the warnings coming out from the FDA on the use of the devices? Please share your information and thoughts so we can all learn from each other!
