Jan Marini Skin Care Hyla3D Review

As we age, our body loses the ability to produce and maintain the same levels of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) as when we were younger.  Sun damage can also affect the production of HA.  HA helps keeps the skin plump and hydrated and as less is produced, fine lines, wrinkles, and loss of volume become more apparent.   You can see in the illustration below how the loss of HA can affect the surface of the skin.

Jan Marini Hyla3D Review

Hyla3D HA Activating Complex from Jan Marini takes a 3-dimensional approach to restore skin’s hydration, volume, and smoothness.  First, multiple forms of HA apply deep, long-lasting hydration.  Second, advanced technologies enhance HA within the skin.  Third, peptides and antioxidants boost other key structures within the skin, including collagen and elastin.  The result is longer lasting hydration and long term benefits from boosting the production of collagen and elastic and enhancing the body’s production of HA.  This is above and beyond what many products with HA on the market have to offer.

Other products have appeared in recent years formulated to help replenish the loss of hyaluronic acid in our skin to yield a more youthful, contoured look.  I have tried several and in many cases, the hydration (if any is observed at all) only lasts a couple of hours.  This is because the HA molecules are too large to be absorbed by the skin.  Therefore, the work done is only at the surface and the product evaporates in a short period of time with no long term benefits.

How to use Hyla3D from Jan Marini

Jan Marini Hyla3D Review - 1 (1)

Hyla3D HA Activating Complex from Jan Marini is formulated for use with the following skin types:  Normal, acne-prone, dry, sensitive, and oily.  That should cover everyone!  It’s a product that can be used with all skin types.

This is a simple product to use and the one rule that is important to remember is to apply Hyla3D before other products.   Shake well before using.  Turn the bottle over and tap on the top of the container in your palm several times.  Turn it back over and  pump 2 drops into your hand and apply over your entire face and neck in morning.  The product should be applied sparingly.

Hyla3D Ingredients

My experience using the Jan Marini product

This is the first product I use when layering skin care products, so it’s important it doesn’t rub off or ball up.  I’m pleased to say I never experienced that issue with the Jan Marini Hyla3D product.  It’s is a pale amber watery gel and I have found 2 pumps to be sufficient for application.  The first covers my face, the second covers my neck.  There is no added fragrance but I noticed a mild scent that dissipates quickly once the product is applied.  I’m not sure how to describe it but it’s not a fragrant smell nor anything offensive.

At first, the product feels a tad sticky when applied to the skin but it quickly dries leaving a smooth finish that you can easily glide your hands over.  The product feels lightweight on the skin and leaves no sheen.  It’s undetectable once it has dried after the application.  Additional serum and moisturizers layer over the product nicely.

I have also been a long time user of the the Jan Marini Antioxidant Daily Face Protectant (SPF 33).  I use it all year on a daily basis and it’s my favorite sunscreen.  The smell is absolutely to die for and it wears beautifully on the skin.  You can read more about their sunscreen here.  I love it so much, I want to put it on everyday.

How to purchase the product

When purchasing products with Hylaronic Acid formulations, I have seen them as low as $15 and as high as $250.  They are nearly always sold by the ounce.  This product is $125 for 1 ounce.  It’s a fair price for a product that contains the innovation and research Jan Marini  puts behind all their products and formulations.  This is not a repackaged form of bulk HA that was purchased and sold under a private label.   This is what I have found lower end  HA products to be.  Hyla3D contains multiple forms of HA, Coenzyme Q10, peptides, and other ingredients that make it a well-rounded HA product and worth the price.

You can purchase the Hyla3D HA Activating Complex from Jan Marini on the company website or search for a provider near you that carries the Jan Marini skin care line.

    1. Thank you! I try to do a lot of research on products and definitely use them to really get a sense for whether or not I like the product. I really think this is a good one. I’ve been using it daily since and I’m really pleased!

  1. Interesting to know there are varying grades of hyaluronic acid molecules. Ever since I discovered hyaluronic acid, I always look for it in skincare, especially serums.

    1. Yes, there are different molecular weights. What I love about this product is not only did they incorporate multiple forms of HA but the formula increases your production of it. That’s a huge win!
