Estee Edit Gritty & Glow Palettes Review + Swatches

Estee Edit Gritty Glow Palettes Review

While I’ve made every attempt to hold off on buying more eye palettes this year, I couldn’t resist the Estee Edit Gritty & Glow Magnetic Eye and Face Palettes.  I was standing before the display in Sephora trying to decide which one of the two palettes I should get and then realized both palettes were included in the package.  That made the decision for me and we have yet another palette purchase!  How could I pass up such a great value? ($58 USD).

The Estee Edit Gritty & Glow Magnetic Eye and Face Palettes are a limited edition set of two magnetic palettes with 12 beautiful, velvety, ultra-pigmented, highly pearlized shades.  The eye shadows have a glistening sheen but there’s no glitter fall-out.  The formula has tiny pearl particles that create a glistening effect.  The shadows are absolutely gorgeous and I was intrigued with the palette because the colors were not like shades I  had in other palettes.

Everything about these palettes is just perfect.  The glittery packaging is really pretty and palettes have a solid feel to them.  Each one secures with a magnetic closure.  Both palettes are in mirrored compacts and are magnetic so they can stick together and make travel and storage easy.   Estee Lauder has provided about 4g of each product in the pan and that’s a significant amount.  Usually, palettes have 1 -2g of each product.

The formula of these powders is outstanding. They are all intensely pigmented with gorgeous shimmer and dimension. The versatility is wonderful. The Glow Face palette looks equally beautiful on eyes and face. The Gritty Palette has very eye catching shades.  It’s not the kind of eye palette you can create a full look from, but rather a palette you can turn to on a regular basis to add more dimension or something flashy to your eye look.  You would still need some transition shades to create a complete eye look unless you do a monochrome look.  I love greens shadow and the shade, Wavy, is my favorite in this set.  Although, every shade is quite beautiful.

Depending on your skin tone, the shades in the Face Palette may be used as highlighters, bronzers, or blush.  All the colors will work extremely well as eyeshadows.  The deeper your skin tone the more you may reach for  the deeper tones in the Face Palette.  Estee Edit also recommends blending the shades together to create more shades and looks.

I couldn’t be happier I picked this set up at Sephora.  It’s the first purchase I’ve made in the Estee Edit line!  Loving it!

Do you have this palette or any products in the Estee Edit line?  What are your thoughts and what would you recommend to try next in this line?

  1. Can’t decide which palette looks better & that packaging is great!! Pigmentation is also amazing on your swatches

    1. It was a crack up in Sephora because I couldn’t decide which palette I wanted. After like 30 min I finally realized there was only one box (well, decision made) and that’s when I discovered it was BOTH palettes for $58. I was so happy! I swatched them without any primer too so image if there was a base! Very beautiful pigmentation, super velvety, no powdery mess. I’m in love with the shadows! Are you going to get the palette?

    1. Oh no! I wonder if there’s somewhere you could order from that would ship to you? This palette is really nice! I love the texture of the shadows and the colors. I swore I’d buy no more palettes for a while but I couldn’t resist this one!

  2. So this is the set that got you to break your palette no buy! 😆
I can see what you caved – the colours are gorgeous! I especially like the deep colours in the first compact and yes, Wavy is a stunner. What great value!

    1. I couldn’t help it. I fell in love with it and for the price, I caved. But! As I hoped some new Tom Ford quads arrived for Christmas. So, I’m glad I got the Estee Edit palette since it’s really different than anything else but waiting on others since I got the Tom Ford ones. What did you get? What’s your favorite gift?

  3. No I do not have any palettes from the Estee Edit line? This is the first I have heard of Estee edit so it is hard to recommend anything, .
