If you have a go to CC cream and you haven’t tried the Erborian CC Crème High Definition Radiance Face Cream Skin Perfector, then you have to try it! I’m excited to share this review with you because I know good CC creams are hard to come by. By definition, a CC Cream should offer color correction and coverage (along with sun protection) but in a lighter formula for days you want to wear less makeup. The Erborian CC Creme is a true CC cream, made in Korea, and it protects the skin while leaving it looking even-toned, natural, and radiant without a heavy feeling. After just a few uses, it became my new go to CC cream. Erborian sent this product to me at no charge to try out and I completely fell in love with it!
Erborian’s product comes in two shades: Clair or Dore. Clair is formulated for light to medium toned skin. Dore is for medium to tan skin. This line doesn’t offer the CC Creme for deep skin tones, which is unfortunate. While you may get nervous that the selection of only two shades would be a problem, it works well for many skin tones as the formula adapts to the shade of your skin. And in my experience, it adapts very well!
Erborian’s CC Creme is SPF 25 and made with Centella Asiatica. I thought that description on the box was just another fancy name for the product, but it’s actually a medicinal herb that is in the formula. Who knew? Centella Asiatica is used through out Asia and is gaining popularity in the West. It has a wide range of therapeutic actions. The herb is recommended for the treatment of various skin conditions such as leprosy, lupus, varicose ulcers, eczema, psoriasis, and wound healing. Therefore, this is an excellent CC Cream for people with many skin conditions and it may offer true skin care benefits. Here are some research results published by Erborian:
- In an independent consumer use test on 32 participants, upon application:
– 97% participants felt skin is softer
– 88% felt complexion had a healthy-looking glow
– 91% felt the product helped blur fine lines
– 91% felt the appearance of pores seemed visibly reduced - After 4 weeks of use:
– 91% felt skin was more beautiful
– 94% felt skin texture has been visibly improved
The texture of Erborian’s product is fine and light weight. It doesn’t leave a gray cast which some products with SPF tend to do. The Centella Asiatica in the formula is said to protect, hydrate and boost radiance while helping to hide fine lines and refine the appearance of your skin’s texture. It also helps to conceal imperfections. This product initially applies as an incandescent white lotion and as you blend it out, the color deepens to match your skin tone. It blended out beautifully on my skin without a cakey appearance and offered ideal coverage that satisfied me (and I’m a lover of full coverage foundations). Overall, it looked natural and radiant and I loved how it looked both indoors and outdoors.
The reviews on Sephora are positive overall, but I did see comments that people with very fair skin struggled with the product. Very fair skinned people struggle with a lot of brands as their skin tone is harder to match. A majority of the reviews were 5 stars with a few indicating the product looked orange. For me, I would have initially thought Dore was the right shade as I always purchase medium products. However, Clair blended out perfect for my skin tone. If I was to try Dore, I imagine it would have been orange on me. Some comments may have come from people who went for the darker shade and shouldn’t have. I’ve also worn the product all day and it never looked orange and it didn’t oxidize.
With SPF 25, and a soft light weight feeling on the skin, this is definitely a product to try! It leaves the skin looking flawless with a hint of luminosity that is perfect for the day or evening. For a night time look, I set mine with IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better Air Brush Perfecting Powder in Medium using a soft fluffy brush. And I follow that with IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Translucent Radiant Powder. For a day look, I set the CC Creme with the Translucent Radiant Powder. Both setting powders are SPF 50 offering additional protection and look amazing with the CC creme! The Erborian CC Creme has moved into my number 1 spot! It’s definitely my favorite CC Cream!
Erborian CC Crème High Definition Radiance Face Cream Skin Perfector is made in Korea and available in two sizes. It can be purchased at Sephora or Erborian.com for $18 (.5 ounce) or $44 (1.5 ounce).
I hope you enjoy this product as much as I do! Have you tried anything in the Erborian line? What other products would you recommend in this beautiful line? #CCTheChange
Hi!! I hope you’re doing well and enjoying your lovely weather. I actually stocked up on Erborian CC Cream before they had shades. It was one universal shade and I loved it. Now I’m all out and to re-purchase, I have to choose a shade. Do you have any idea what shade is closest to the original formula?
Thank you
Kristy.
I only used the Clair shade and I’m pretty sure that is the one that is closest to the original. They added the darker shades later. There was one darker shade and now there are two. You could send their customer service a note and ask too. But I would go with the Clair… and it adjusts to your skin tone. =)
So good to hear from you! I’ve been so crazy busy I’ve been way behind on blogs and things.
I’ve never used a CC cream, your review sound very lovely though! I got to try it.

Little Glittery Box
I really like this one! It leaves a very pretty finish on the skin!
Erborian is a brand that came on my radar end of last year and U have been curious about it. I will need to swatch this CC cream before buying, I usually buy Medium too because most light-medium shades make me look a little ashy. On the other hand, the last thing I want is to walk around looking like an oompa loompa.

I don’t know what it is but a lot of products oompa me out! LOL Next time you are at Sephora, swatch this on your face and see if it blends out perfectly to your skin. I’m amazed at what a pretty finish it is. If you try it, I want to hear if it matches you perfect too!

I’ve seen this brand floating around but haven’t tried anything from them. Will check this out as it sounds great! x Ann-Marie | http://facetocurls.com/
Definitely! What a great summer CC cream! And I’ve tried a few things in their skin care line and I’ve really loved the products. They have some micellar water that will blow your mind. Very beautifully done! xoxoxox Have a fabulous weekend!
I haven’t heard of this product before, but it sounds really interesting. I love the idea that it blends to match your skin tone, that takes all the stress out of picking the right shade xx

I’m curious how it blends to match so well. I really transforms to match your skin color. I feel like I am sort of hard to match. Quite a few foundations just don’t work for me but this one, blends out beautifully into a perfect match! So worth a try! Great for summer!
Need to try this out! Thanks for sharing!!

Yes, do try! I have completely fallen in love with it and I’m so picky with foundation and creams. Thank you for stopping in! xox
Ooh in the end when you said the CC cream is made in Korea I got interested. I’ve heard from Erborian, but I haven’t seen their items widely available on European beauty webshops. I need to take a closer look! I have a very fair skin tone so I will try to pick up a sample first.

The entire trend started there, first with BB cream and then came CC cream. They aren’t all made in Korea but Erborian is a Korean brand. If you are fair, their products will be amazing. Their Glow Creme is fabulous too, I use it with my foundation all the time! You may want to check and see if it’s in your Sephora (just maybe on line only) or if Selfridges or something offers it online. Hopefully you can find it and enjoy this wonderful brand!
I’ll need to check this out! I’ve never had luck with CC creams but recently picked up the IT Cosmetics original formula and it was a huge game changer!
I do love the IT Cosmetics product but it’s pretty thick. It’s my number 2 choice. I like the Erborian one better because it’s lighter weight but still offers a gorgeous radiant finish with a really good amount of coverage. I was quite nervous the product wouldn’t work as there are only two shades and I’m a hard match. But it totally matched! Definitely get a sample from Sephora next time and see what you think!! =) I use the IT Cosmetics powders to set it and finish it off.
Thanks so much for stopping in! XOX
Sounds perfect for me! I really like products from this brand 🙂
I was shocked that it matched to my skin. Like nothing ever matches me right! But this did and the Centella Asiatica is a good herb that benefits skin. So, it’s like totally exciting! XOXOX
